Paid Post Vs Free Post

Creators can post two types of content and that is either a paid post or a free post. By default, a paid post is shown up first, thus users have to click on the locked icon to switch over to free post.

Only a verified creator can make a paid post.

This locked icon represents a paid post and it means a creator will be posting the content in a pay-to-access mode. All content posted as a paid post is only available to followers who have a non-expired recurring subscription to the creator or the ones who have made a single-time minimum tip for the paid post. The minimum tip value is pre-set by the creator, and users can make any higher tip amount to the creator.

This unlocked icon represents a free post and it means that the creator’s content is available to the public.  Followers will see the post in their feeds if they follow the creator, and the public will see the post when checking out the creator’s profile.

This is an example of a paid post before users pay minimum tip money to access it. The tip box will show the minimum tip money pre-set by the creator, and users can make any amount higher than this tip amount.

Users can continue to give a tip for the same post anytime to show appreciation.
